The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap for the week before, showcase books and things we have received, etc.
It’s been another hectic week. Somehow I feel like I’m busier now than when I was taking more classes. It’s funny how that happens sometimes. School is actually going okay. It was a light week on the homework front because we are attending a special event for next week’s class. This is kind of a blessing in disguise because I have a paper to write for my online course and I really tend to stress about those.
For the last few weeks I have been subbing in the second grade class. It’s been an interesting experience and I hope I’m not screwing everything up for the main teacher. I’ve been really enjoying the prospect of helping the kids with their work and since I’m subbing for the class intervention specialist, I have been trying to work on helping those who struggle behaviorally in the class. It’s actually interesting to see what works with different kids. One kid just needed to be separated from some of the other kids who struggle and to be positively reinforced that I knew he was a great kid and could do well. He’s been making so much progress over these past few weeks and even when I get pulled to help out in another class, he continues to do well. I hope this is a sign that I’m getting my degree in the correct area.
We went to another library book sale today. I know I haven’t posted about the books I got a few weeks ago, but I’m proud to say I didn’t get a single book this week. That sounds odd, I know. But we actually went to find comics and wound up with nearly two hundred between the two of us. I mainly picked up copies of The Walking Dead comics and he was eager to find more Sonic Boom comics. Either way, I enjoy supporting my local library and am so thankful to have such a great library system at my disposal.
I hope you all are having a great weekend and that you have a great week!

Here’s my (general) upcoming TBR list in no particular order:
I used to substitute a lot, and it was both exciting and terrifying – you never quite new what to expect, but at the same time there was always something new and different to do, which is good for someone like me who enjoys trying new things and learning new skills!
