Sunday Post #50 – Fall Already?

Sunday Post Meme

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap for the week before, showcase books and things we have received, etc.

It’s yet another busy weekend in our household. Despite my best efforts, I still spend every weekend doing the majority of my school work. This weekend is even busier than most because I have to do an exceptionality report on Asperger’s disorder, an annotated bibliography and start working on a paper about Benjamin Franklin’s contribution to education. Fortunately, I just have to do a third of the report by tomorrow and I’m almost finished with that. The bibliography is hard because we are supposed to list 10 – 15 books and let’s face it, I’m a bookworm who happens to love series. I narrowed it down to some great series: Ramona Quimby, Fudge, Harry Potter, A Series of Unfortunate Events, My Teacher is an Alien, Dear America, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants, Wayside School, Where the Sidewalk Ends, Goosebumps, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and of course, Pokemon. The issue is that I can’t find a reference on how to cite an entire book series, only a single book in the series. It’s frustrating and it means I’m going to wind up with over fifty references. Talk about being an overachiever. As for my paper on Benjamin Franklin, I found a bunch of great references and I think it’ll be a pretty easy paper to write. I just have to get use to keeping my writing more active and less passive. That seems to be the most common feedback I got with my last paper.

Besides that, I’ve been trying to get some more books read this week. I’m about a quarter of a way through my next book, so it’s definitely an improvement over taking two weeks on a book. Hopefully, I’ll continue to work on finding a better balance with everything else I have going on. At least the weather is starting cool and hopefully the days will be less sticky when I’m teaching or doing my intern hours.

Anyways, I hope you all are having a great weekend and that you have a great week!

All book covers are linked to my personal review of the book or it’s Goodreads or Amazon page.
