It’s been a busy week for me on the library front. I was finally able to make it back to book club. It’s been two months, but it was nice to see everyone again. This next month we’ll be reading What We Find by Robyn Carr. Once again, it doesn’t really look like something I would pick or even enjoy. But so far I’ve liked all of the other ones I wasn’t sure about (Except May’s. I didn’t even try and read it because I am not a fan of the author.) As for the rest, I’ll admit I was influenced by watching Everest last weekend. I couldn’t stop reading up everything I could about the Everest disaster as well as Everest itself. So I couldn’t resist checking out a book by one of the survivors from that day. In fact, I read it within one day and it’s because of other reviews for it that I found Blind Descent by Nevada Barr. Lilac Girls is another of those books that happened to catch my eye in an e-mail.
As you can see, I also finally got in another two books to help me prepare for the MAT. I may be okay and will still be able to continue to cut down my library books and Netgalley books. But we will see!
Here’s what I checked out this week:
- Master the Miller Analogies Test
- McGraw-Hill’s MAT: Miller Analogies Test
- Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly
- What We Find by Robyn Carr
- Blind Descent by Nevada Barr
- Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer
What did you pick up from the library this week? Or what are you planning on putting on hold? Leave me a comment and let me know!
