School is finally out for the summer! I didn’t sub any this week, but that’s okay because I am still in the healing stage since my surgery. Darn sinuses are keeping my throat agitated and it was hard to teach when you could barely talk. However, I did get some extra hours in as a group mentor and we started our training for summer groups!
We had some really great things happen this week. On the grad school front, my GI Bill got approved, so at the very least I’ll be able to start at the end of June now. Also, my son graduated from the school he’s been attending for the past three years. He was at a school that helped a lot with behavioral issues because when he was younger, he didn’t really have any other place to go until he stopped stripping when he got frustrated or bouncing around the classroom. The teachers helped him out so much and he’s almost like a completely different kid nowadays. I’m really proud of him and extremely grateful to the staff there. It happens to be the same place I do group with, so it’s almost like he’s leaving as I’m getting settled in.
With that new transition, we had to scramble to see if we could find placement for him. Luckily, the local charter school that deals primarily with children with autism and adhd had a late admission date this year and they have room for him. But even better than that, they offered me a job to teach and will have a paid student teaching position for me, when I get to that stage of my graduate program! I’ll be making twice as much an hour and I’ll only work 25 hours a week. Which will give me time to study and still have time for my little guy. I think things are truly starting to look up for our little family. 🙂
Anyways, I hope you all are having a great weekend and that you have a great week!
All book covers are linked to my personal review of the book or it’s Goodreads or Amazon page.
It’s been a slow week for reading, but I had other things to focus on this week. Hopefully, I’ll do better next week.

No new books this week. But I’m slowly making my way through the ones I already have. Hopefully I’ll have some progress to report next week!
No new books this week. Trying to keep strong and get through some of the books I already have before I start going crazy again.
No new books? Well I guess that’s a good thing! I added way too many after my bookish vacation. And I am feeling extremely overwhelmed by all the unread books! They keep piling up everywhere! LOL! Hope you have a great reading week!

I think what I said was: No new books?! Well, I guess that can be a good thing as well! I added too many after my bookish vacation and am feeling overwhelmed by all the unread books that are piling up over my house! LOL! Hope you have a great reading week!
