Sunday Post #34 – Library Book Sale

Sunday Post Meme

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap for the week before, showcase books and things we have received, etc.

It’s been a pretty booktastic week for me. I finished my audiobook of Esther and it actually got me thinking about some of the books I’ve struggled to finish reading over the years. Perhaps I should see if I can find audio versions of the Game of Thrones series? Besides that, I managed to snag some really great books from my local library’s book sale. Some of which I’ve read, some I’ve never even heard of.

This week has been a really busy week full of appointments. I’ll be so thankful once school is out and my schedule slows down some. It’s getting to the point where I just want to go home and go to sleep as soon as school is out. Which would be fine, but then I wind up waking up at 2 am. Of course, that’s not going to help me, so even though I’m struggling to maintain a normal sleeping schedule, I’m still trying to avoid going to bed so early.

I have some really interesting books coming up this month. My goal is to really focus on knocking out some of my Netgalley reads. Wish me luck!

Anyways, I hope you all are having a great weekend and that you have a great week!

All book covers are linked to my personal review of the book or it’s Goodreads or Amazon page.

It’s a really light week for library checkouts. Which is to be expected after I checked out twelve books last week! None of which I have had a chance to even look at yet. Go figure, huh? I suppose that’s part of being a bookworm…. Read More

ARC Corner

No new ARC books this week. Since I overdid it on the library front, it’s probably for the best.

Stacking the ShelvesPicked up a few more BSC books. I’ve been steadily adding to my collection. I’m starting to work my way down the list so I don’t risk getting ones I already have or running out of books to read, since I’m trying to read them in order.

Mary Anne and the Search for Tigger

However, there was a book sale at the library. I got a ton of comics for my son, as well as a ton of books for myself. You can see a list of the books I’ve posted about here:

  1. Ooh nice! I found I did rather well at a Book Fair we had going on in town this weekend! I saw tons of people with carts just filled with books, and then there was me who was like read it, read it, read it, need to read it…and therefore have it…LOL! I did find 3 books from there to add to my stacks. Well…more like 2! Haha!

Hope you enjoy your new reads and movie!

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. Game of Thrones on audio would be interesting, maybe I should go that way if I ever want to reread. Not looking forward to slogging through all 5 books again… 🙂

  3. I’m the same way with sleeping schedules. A couple weeks ago I was even sleeping during the day and awake during the night! I got back on track, but I’m starting to slip again. So, I’m going to have to gets back on track before it gets too late. Have a good week!

    • It’s nice to know I’m not the only one! I’ve been trying to limit any during the day/afternoon naps to 30 minutes or less. Hopefully that will help me not sleep so much that I’m getting up at 2 am anymore.

  4. In the last few weeks I’ve been struggling with my sleep schedule as well. I’ve started taking Unisom and I am bed-ready sleepy within an hour. I have been sleeping through the night at the man’s house and sleeping better at home. I have more distractions and things that wake me up in the night – the train, weirdo neighbors, and Baby. At his house she sleeps in the spare bedroom, but at home she’s constantly getting in and out of bed. Shhh – don’t tell my allergist! 😉

    • LMAO! I’ve struggled for years with my rotating sleep schedule. But ever since my surgery, it’s gotten worst. Even now that I don’t have stuff in my nose, it’s like my nose forgets it can be used to breathe. It’s annoying. But I get the whole getting in and out of your bed. Between my cats and my son, I’m constantly having someone climbing in or jumping off of mine! LOL
