The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap for the week before, showcase books and things we have received, etc.
So this was my first week of subbing. I kind of had a feeling it was going to affect my reading/blogging. Which to some point it has. It’s clear I’ve been on a slight reading slump. But I feel I’m finally getting over it and I can’t wait to get some more books knocked out this week. Also, you may have noticed my posts have lessened in size. I’m trying to back off a bit from all of the promotional posts. As much as I like them, it still takes time and effort to get the posts together (even if the html is 100% golden, which usually it isn’t) and schedule it all out so I’m not posting things days before they are supposed to posted. Also, I dropped one of the blog tour company. I just feel as if they weren’t a good match for me.
So hopefully, that will free up some time for me to start blogging about the things I want to talk about here and on my other blog, The Writer’s Notepad. I wanted a place where I could talk about non-book things, but I still wanted to keep it so it was obvious it was from the same person. Please excuse the layout of that blog. It was the only one I found I could deal with for the time being.
Anyways, I hope you all are having a great weekend and that you have a great week!
All book covers are linked to my personal review of the book or it’s Goodreads or Amazon page.
Slow, slow week for me this past week. Hopefully next week will be better.

Here’s my (general) upcoming TBR list in no particular order:
There’s no new library books for me this week!
No new books this week! I’m going to try and focus on getting through the list of books I have first and foremost. I would much rather miss out on some great books in order to get back on track with my reviews.
Just like the two sections above, no new books for me this week! Maybe next week?
A break from new reads can be nice because the TBR pile doesn’t suffer. Hope you have a great week!

My TBR pile is at its breaking point, honestly. My local library is having another sale coming up and if it weren’t for the fact I want to support them, I wouldn’t go. Maybe I’ll just use the books in giveaways.
Glad your first week of subbing went well!! As a teacher, I know how time consuming it can be! I too have cut WAY back on the promo posts for the same reason-its so time consuming! And you’re right-the HTML is never perfect so its still a lot of work. Plus, I found that with all that promo, my review posts seemed to get a bit lost! Hope you have a great week!

Good to hear the first week went well! I’ve naturally cut back on the promotional posts. One of my companies went out of business and I’ve been trying to par down the rest. I use one consistently because of how she runs her tours. The HTML is never perfect and doesn’t always match each of our formats.
I have one tour company who I’ve only had issues with the coding one time on one post. I like the ones where I can just sign up and they send me the info every week without me having to continuously sign up for posts. The two I post the most often do that. One sends out their posts one week at a time and one does it a few days out.
Even with the subbing and baby slump you still had a great week. I totally agree with you on the tour/blast posts. It generally takes me twice as long to get one of those ready as I always have to fix the coding and layout. Good on you for realizing what you want from your site. I look forward to seeing your future posts. Have a great week! My Weekly Wrap-Up
Sorry to hear about your reading slump. We have all been there!
