Checking Out the Library

Checking Out the LibraryThis week’s loot from the library is really light. I’ve made sure not to add anything to my holds list. In fact, the only things that made it on there were movies my son requested. However, I did have my second book club meeting this past Tuesday and we found out what book we are reading for next month. Even though we all know I won’t get to the book until the weekend before, I went ahead and picked up a copy.

Here’s this week’s library loot (including my son’s checkouts:

  • The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
  • Over the Hedge (DVD)
  • Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-rabbit (DVD)
  • The Looney Tunes Platinum Collection: Vol. 1, 2 & 3 (DVD)

I’ve been struggling with my reading this week. I think part of the problem is the fact I can’t stand the smell of my library book. Clearly, the person who read it before me (or possibly before them) was a very heavy smoker. The book reeks and as a non-smoker, it is driving me nuts. I can’t stand it. I’m going to force myself to push through it, but I’m not a very happy bookworm at the moment.

What did you pick up from the library this week? Or what are you planning on putting on hold? Leave me a comment and let me know!

  1. Ugh – I’ve been lucky and never had that happen with a library book, but it would put me off too!
