What Are You Reading Wednesday #26: Chakana

whatareyoureadingwedWhat Are You Reading Wednesdays #WAYRW is a weekly feature on It’s A Reading Thing. It’s fairly straight forward. Just answer a few simple questions about the book you are currently reading and the post it. If you use the image above, please make sure you link it back to It’s A Reading Thing.

How to participate:
Grab the book you are currently reading and answer three questions:

1. What’s the name of your current read?

Chakana by W.E. Lawrence

2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.

Her face tightened, she looked back at the station building. “What do we do now, go back?”

“No, that won’t do us any good. When I paid him, I insinuated we were going to Abancay. That should throw off anyone trying to follow us.”

“But they’ll know you’re with me and Nick now.”

“You’re right; I suppose my working relationship with Joseph Soros is over now.”

Her face dropped. “I’m sorry, James.”

He shrugged. “That’s all right. I never liked the man anyway.”

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

This is kind of a difficult one to say yes or no to. On one hand, they are searching for ancient artifacts from the Ancient Incas.  On the other, it’s 1940 and they are in Peru… Yeah, I don’t think so. As much as I would love to go on the type of adventure they have before them to discover something lost to the world, I just don’t see me staying out of trouble long enough. I’d probably get captured, tortured and murdered.
