Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer continued but only in comics beginning with the spectacular Season 8. Under the tutelage of Whedon, this ground-breaking series further developed the fan-favorite television characters and established new ones. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Panel to Panel– Seasons 8 and 9 is a deluxe oversize book collecting the covers, pinup art, developmental sketches, and favorite sequences from Season 8 and Season 9 as well as the series Angel & Faith. Featuring art from such comics luminaries as Jo Chen, Georges Jeanty, Steve Morris, Phil Noto, Rebekah Isaacs, Adam Hughes, and many more!
I might go back and forth on some of the story twists within the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics, but there’s something that can’t be denied: there are some amazing pieces of art featured. When I saw this book listed on my library site, I thought it actually included the stories from the two seasons as well as from Angel & Faith since I haven’t yet been able to read those. Even though it didn’t, it was extremely nice to see pieces of art that weren’t featured in some of the volumes. They were typically from the individual comics, so these extras were a great little surprise as I looked through the book.
In order to give you an understanding to some of the things you can find within, I’m going to attach some of my favorite pieces from this book:
Purchase Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8
Purchase Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 9
Purchase Angel & Faith
Purchase Willow Wonderland
Purchase Spike: A Dark Place

Oh wow, the artwork is amazing! If I could read comics (they tend to give me instant headaches), this is definitely the series I’d read! (Btw, thanks for following Scifi and Scary Book Reviews. I’ve returned the favor!)
