It’s not often that I find a book I am willing to recommend to others as a must read. But for those moments when I do, I really want to go out of my way to recommend them to fellow bookworms who may be in need of something new to read. My choices always come those books that receive four or five stars from the month prior. This is the first time, I’ve allowed you, the readers of these books to actually vote on which one should be featured. Well the results are in and you guys clearly love Mandy Baggot’s One Wish in Manhattan.
I found this book on Netgalley and thought the cover was adorable. I’ve been trying to branch out from my standard paranormal or crime mystery books. I am not a big fan of romances in general and it’s books like this that make me feel differently about that. It’s fluffy, with the right mix of humor and romance. So to me, this book was a home run. I was rooting for the two main characters to make it work and I really enjoyed the idea of a book about a single mother. As a single mother, myself, I could relate to all of the concerns and fears that Hayley is experiencing. Even if our circumstances are different, there’s no worst fear than the idea you may let your child down.
