This is a hard challenge to answer, because I love so many different Christmas movies. Basically, if you find it on Lifetime or ABC Family, it’s something I will enjoy. I’m pretty much a sap when it comes to these types of movies.
This past weekend, I caught two adorable new movies on Lifetime.
A Gift Wrapped Christmas
This movies is about a personal shopper who makes it her mission to help a widowed father find happiness for Christmas. If the premise wasn’t enough to make this an enjoyable film, the lead actress was absolutely adorable. Something about her character’s personality really made me enjoy the movie so much, that I even watched it the next night.
The Christmas Gift
This one is based loosely off of a true story. A young girl receives a Christmas gift from a thoughtful little boy who was playing Secret Santa for those less fortunate in the Philippines. As an adult, she seeks him out on Facebook and tries to friend him. A few years later, she tries again and he accepts the request in order to discover who and why she’s trying to connect with him. It turns out he doesn’t even remember sending out this care packages, but after his mother confirms he did, the two become close friends. Eventually, they fall in love and get married.
In the movie version, the young girl receives a notebook with a special note inscribed that inspired her to write. Years later, as she’s pursuing a career in journalism, she seeks out the young boy who was once her Secret Santa. Much like the true story, the two fall in love.
See… I’m a sap. But hey, it’s Christmas and it’s the one time a year where it’s okay to be one. Just don’t let anyone know, okay?
I’m a total sap too! I’ll watch whatever cheesy, terrible Christmas themed romantic comedies on Netflix. LOL. Also, I’ve been known to watch the Curious George Christmas Special for some reason (it’s CUTE!) hahahaha
I’ll have to pull that up for my son! I’m sure he’ll love it!
