So there’s one thing I’ve noticed that most cozy mysteries have in common (actually there are a few) and that’s a lot of food. Now, I like food as much as the next person, but the extent these books talk about food can be overwhelming sometimes. However, I’m curious to see if the recipes they offer with their books are just as good as the characters claim they are.
I’ve read a few cozy mysteries over the past few months that featured recipes, but for my attempt, I am going to choose one from the Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke. With the holidays coming around, it’s the perfect time to back some cookies. Now I just have to figure out which ones to make!
Here are my options:
- Chocolate Chip Crunch Cookies
- Regency Ginger Crisps
- Pecan Chews
- Black and Whites
- Chocolate-Covered Cherry Delights
- Old-Fashioned Sugar Cookies
- Lovely Lemon Bar Cookies
All seem easy enough and sound delicious. So you tell me, which one should I bake first? Leave me a comment below and let me know your vote. Recipe with the most votes will be my first experiment!
Pecan chews. Because pecans are the bomb when it comes to any type of cookie/dessert!
They all sound great! I love ginger snaps and molasses cookies, so I’d probably start with the Regency Ginger Crisps if I were going to choose one.
