The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap for the week before, showcase books and things we have received, etc.
It’s been a very, very busy week for me at work. I currently work second shift and don’t typically get home until after 11 pm. So in order to maintain some form of normality, I’ve been struggling to flip my sleep schedule so I go to bed at midnight and with the exception of dropping my son off for the bus, am up by 9:30. This will allow me more time to get errands taken care of or even just having some real time to just relax. For the last month, I’ve been staying up until 4 am and yes, I’m getting some minor housework done and my blogs ready for the next day, I just never felt like I was getting enough sleep. Plus it always seemed like something was piling up on me. From my DVR to my library holds, etc. I just couldn’t seem to make enough of a dent in everything. So this new schedule is helping me get a better grasp on all of that.
Also, as you will see below, I have been a busy little bookworm. My son and I raided the local library’s book sale and I definitely went overboard, but it was for a good cause. Also, we’re still working on the Goosebump DVDs, but we are down to the last few. Just in time to go see the movie next weekend!
Anyways, I hope you guys are having a great weekend!

I had a fairly busy week and my reading choices really show it. I wish I would have noticed earlier, just how busy my last week of October and first week of November are going to be. I would have saved a few things for a later time and worked harder to get through some more of the books. Here are the reviews and posts from this week:
I did what I promised and neither The Virgin nor Logan Likes Mary Anne! are gracing this section of my Sunday Post. With the exception of the comics (which are to help give me lighter things to read in between books) every thing listed here has to be read and reviewed by either the last week of this month or the first week of next month. That’s a lot of pressure, but seeing as I already knocked one out last night, I think I can handle it.
I did it! I stayed true to my word and did not put another book on hold this week. You’re proud of me, right? Maybe I should treat myself… with a new book?!?! Just kidding. At least on the treating myself with new books. My local library sale has helped me buy more books than I could possibly need for the next year.
But it’s true, I didn’t put anything new on hold last week and the only things going on hold this week, will be whatever movies/shows my son would like me to request. However, I did have two new releases come in this week. Which would be great… except I realized at four this morning

There’s not much going on in the ARC Corner this week. The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum was one of the books that I requested last week and doesn’t come out until next year. As for the other two, I have signed up to do blog tours during the first week of November for each of these. Of course, I committed to this before I realized how booked I am for the next three weeks. But seeing as I already knocked out one of the books on my list yesterday and am making progress on my second, it might all just work out perfectly.
This week was my library’s book sale and to say I raided it is an understatement. I did three separate trips on three separate days in order to catch some of the other books that had, but didn’t have room to put out. Between the three trips, I picked up 102 books for only $22. All of which goes to helping out my local library, so it’s a definite win-win. Not all of the books I purchased are for me. I was really excited to find some really random children’s books that look like they are part of a later collection than this 1941 edition of The Wizard of Oz that I own. Also, I was blown away to find rare gems like original 1980’s Judy Blume books, the first The Boxcar Children book and several Goosebumps books. I might be in desperate need of a new bookcase now, but I grabbed some great books and helped the library raise some money.
Blogger’s Note: This section is not linked to Goodreads or Amazon like the others. I tried to make the time to do it, but honestly, it would have taken longer than it would for me to finish several of my blogs for this week. I apologize and it shouldn’t be an issue in the future.
