I’m fairly new to doing more than just posting a review when I finish a book. But I haven’t really been able to do as much as I would like. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been looking into blog tours, cover releases, book blitz, memes, and such. The one thing I’ve figured out is that there is a lot of different things to do and that really makes me happy. But I also am finding that I am overwhelmed by which ones are right for me.
So far, I think I have my memes portion covered. I really enjoy doing Top Ten Tuesdays, What Are You Reading Wednesdays, Feature and Follow Friday, my Saturday Checking Out the Library and of course, my Sunday Post. Most of these are just a great way to connect with other bookworms and bloggers, but also share what I’m reading and such throughout the week.
As for book tours, I have already completed my first one and I was pleased to find I really enjoyed the book. I am now planning on participating in three more tours and I look forward to reading those books!
Here’s where I get a little stumped. I’ve done the research and I understand the differences between every one of these things. But my question is: which ones do you like? Are cover releases worth doing? What about book blitz? And what if it’s for a book you would never read (i.e. a genre you don’t like)? Also what are good resources for finding these kinds of events?
I know, that’s quite a few questions, but I am hoping someone can give me a few answers. I’m curious and I really want to try and figure out what will work for me and my blog. So please comment below with your thoughts and opinions on the different resources we have available to participate in.
