Checking Out the Library

wpid-img_20151017_110401_573.jpgI did it! I stayed true to my word and did not put another book on hold this week. You’re proud of me, right? Maybe I should treat myself… with a new book?!?! Just kidding. At least on the treating myself with new books. My local library sale has helped me buy more books than I could possibly need for the next year.

But it’s true, I didn’t put anything new on hold last week and the only things going on hold this week, will be whatever movies/shows my son would like me to request. However, I did have two new releases come in this week. Which would be great… except I realized at four this morning (couldn’t sleep) that I have eight books to finish by the end of the first week of November. Now, I know I can get through that many books and heck, that gives me three weeks, right? But here’s the issue: sometimes when I have so many books to read at such a specific period of time, I start getting into a reading slump. I’ve yet to truly experience one of those since I began requesting ARCs and joining blog tours. Usually it comes with new releases from the library. But now… I have two new releases plus those eight books. I can only hope I can space things out and get it all done on time. Anywho…

This week’s library loot includes:

  • See Me by Nicholas Sparks
  • A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R.R. Martin
  • Goosebumps: Deep Trouble (DVD)

wpid-img_20151017_110417_093.jpgSo as you know, I had this ambitious plan to get through all of those Goosebumps DVDs last weekend. Well, it didn’t happen. We did manage to get through eleven of the DVDs and have slowly knocked out a few throughout the week, but with this new one I picked up from the library, we still have five to go. Which is fine. My son is enjoying them in spurts and I’ve realized just how cheesy my childhood really was. We’re planning on going to see the new movie next weekend and will be attending a Goosebumps event this afternoon at the library.

What did you pick up from the library this week? Or what are you planning on putting on hold? Leave me a comment and let me know!
