What Are You Reading Wednesday #6: Black 21

whatareyoureadingwedWhat Are You Reading Wednesdays #WAYRW is a weekly feature on It’s A Reading Thing. It’s fairly straight forward. Just answer a few simple questions about the book you are currently reading and the post it. If you use the image above, please make sure you link it back to It’s A Reading Thing.

How to participate:
Grab the book you are currently reading and answer three questions:

Black 21

1. What’s the name of your current read?

Black 21 by Nancy Glynn

2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.

Daisy watched in horror as they hanged Dane from an old Oak tree over a bonfire, his feet stable on a wooden stool, in the center of devil worshipers enjoying the view. Something told her that tree lynched many people in its time.

His begging cries speared her soul. She ran to the front of everyone cheering. Christian grabbed her to hold her back. “You lied to me!” she screamed at Jack. “You said no one would die!”

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

This is a really intense scene. If people are getting lynched, I’d probably get shot for trying to save them. And since I’m a selfish creature who rather enjoys her life, I think I’m going to pass on wanting to live in this particular world. But this passage has me even more excited to start this book today!

Can’t wait to see what you all are reading! Feel free to leave me a comment or a link back to your post!
