Last month, I focused solely on pulling all of my old reviews from Goodreads onto this site. I wanted to round out my reviews. This, of course, presented it’s own set of issues. For one, I have several books I have read (including one ENTIRE series), that I didn’t leave a single comment about. These don’t matter and maybe I’ll just move on and leave these. Maybe is the key word. I haven’t made up my mind on that front yet.
My next big thing is, I really want to update my theme. This one has worked well for me over the years and I really have loved it. But I have a particular theme I think will work better to promote the reviews I’m doing as well as helping to make the navigation easier.
With this being said, there may be a few days were the site looks a bit odd or incomplete. Please be patient with me. As much as I would love to guarantee my entire weekend to this endeavor, I have plans to have a Goosebumps movie marathon with my son and to me, that’s more important.
I’ll definitely get the basics fixed this weekend and hopefully over the next week, I’ll finish all of my updates. Thank you to everyone who reads my posts and for everyone who has followed this blog, commented, and reached out to talk to me. I can tell you, that even if I don’t have a ton of time to dedicate to reading each and every blog post you make, I do try to catch as many as I can after work and I look forward to seeing what you’re reading next.
Have a great weekend!
I was wondering how you were reading books so fast!!! I was a little jealous. 😉
I’ve been averaging four to five books a week. But that usually includes at least one comic. And I would just go ahead and post them all, but I didn’t want to bombard my feed. So I’ve been trying to do one old review (or reread review) a day, if I need to.
Sounds like you’ve got a good plan there. I’d love to update my blog page theme, too, but I would have no idea where to begin.
The first thing I’d suggest is to figure out which theme you want and try to figure out what features you want it to have. I was fortunate, because the one I want to use, I’ve been using for years on another blog.
Thanks for the tip, Kristine! Yes, your site looks really good. I’d love to learn how to add graphics and a header logo and all that.
Thanks! I’m hoping this new theme will work out. If you ever need any help, just let me know. I did some classes in college for Web & Graphic Design. But there are tons of how to videos on YouTube that can help you. Or if you have an idea what you want, there are forums where you can find someone to do it for free. Or at least there were for the online roleplay world.
Thank you!! Come December, when I get some free time, I am so going to try out your suggestions! I think the main thing I’m worried about is blowing out what I’ve already built.
