I’ve been seeing the commercial for the new Goosebumps movie over the past few weeks. I kind of just blew it off, because as much as I love Jack Black, many of his movies are just not my type. But it wasn’t until yesterday that I got to see the full trailer for the new movie. I must admit, the kid in me is dying to go see it. Which turns out to be perfect, because my son wants to see it, as well. Maybe it’s because of how the characters get released or maybe because I feel it could be a great way to bridge my generations love for the series with my son’s.
Honestly, I won’t have any high hopes for the movie. But it does looks fun and it might be a great way to get my son more interested in rereading the books. Which I tried earlier this year and he hated every single moment of it. Of course, what he doesn’t know is that I have requested another book and all of the original goosebump television shows/movies from the library.
But what I want to know is, who else is excited to see the movie?
I really want to watch the movie too! Hoping its actually good!!
My 12 year old is nearly obsessed with the books – we have to search for ones missing from her collection in every used bookstore, garage sale, or thrift shop we pass . We will definitely be seeing this one…
Have you looked on Amazon? I’ve been getting all my old childhood books for $0.01 there (plus the $3.99 s/h).
wow – I haven’t, but I will look! Thanks for the tip. 🙂
