Sunday Post #3 – Looking for Suggestions

Sunday Post Meme

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap for the week before, showcase books and things we have received, etc.

I am proud to say I have finally finished importing all of my reviews from Goodreads. But for the sake of my own sanity, I’m still posting them slowly but surely. This week, I’ve decided to add a Suggest A Book section to my blog. There have been so many times when I have been burned out by reading the same author or series and I struggle to find something new to read. Thank you to Cheyanne from Tangerine Wallpaper, Sarah from Sarah’s Bookshelf and Kar from Geek Sneak Peek for all of your wonderful suggestions. I have added all of them on my To Reads list on Goodreads and I look forward to reading them!

All book covers are linked to my personal review of the book or it’s Goodreads or Amazon page.

Last Weeks Posts

Though I seem to be averaging three to five books a week, I don’t feel any need to get upset by this. After all, the whole point is to enjoy it and I was actually able to take a day or two off between books this week. Which is always a great way to keep from burning myself out. Here are the reviews and posts from this week:

What to Expect

I feel I’ve been pretty productive these past few weeks and with all of my drafts finally on WordPress, there’s more time for me to get some extra reading in. This is good, because I have several books coming out over the next few weeks and I want to have my reviews posted at least by the time they are released.

Library Loot

So I’ve finally managed to pull over every book from my Goodreads account. It took several weeks and I discovered that several of the reviews left were completely blank or in desperate need of some beefing up. In fact, of the ninety-three drafts I have waiting to be posted, only six of them are truly ready to be posted as of this moment… More on Checking Out the Library

ARC Corner

Things have finally calmed down since my overeager Netgalley requesting session from a few weeks ago. The only new ARC I have from this week, is one I requested the other day. I’ll be pretty busy trying to read many of the ARCs I received over the past few weeks before they come out (or get archived), so I don’t think I’ll be requesting a lot during the month of October. But we’ll see! Here’s this week’s approved ARC:

Stacking the Shelves

I don’t purchase books often. However, in order to cover the cost of any new books I do decide to get, I do a lot of surveys and save up my amazon giftcards. As I expand outward with my blogging, I’ve been able to find some great resources for books. But more so, I was extremely pleased when one of the bloggers I follow, posted about how the Wayward Pines Trilogy was only $6 on Amazon this week. I have been waiting for over a month just to get the first book from the library, now I just need to find time to read all three! Here are my new books for the week:

About Kristine

As an aspiring author, avid bookworm, fitness fanatic and dedicated mother, there just aren't enough hours in the day. I write or post about things I'm passionate about and spend my time trying to make the most of every day. Life may be a tough journey, but I have my ruby red slippers and am content on skipping along this yellow brick road until the end of the line.
