30 Day Fitness Challenge: Day 1

joggingI’ve been looking for a way to mix up my workout routines and I was hoping to push myself further. So after doing some research, I’ve decided to try a 30 Day Fitness Challenge. I had tried a few of these last year, but I always found myself forgetting days or wishing I was working more than one part of my body. To remedy these issues, I’ve created a thorough full body routine and I will blog throughout it all, in order to help keep me accountable. The only allowance I am giving myself is with the running routine. Due to work obligations, there may be days when I won’t be able to get a chance to run.

My Day 1 challenge may seem a bit easy and I don’t actually find any of today’s individual sets to be difficult. But as time progresses, each set will require more and more reps. For example, I will start off with 50 squats today and by the last day, I will have worked up to 250 squats. Fortunately, this will also help me prepare for the Autism 5k my son and I will be running next month and I am excited to get started.

Day 1 Challenge:
Crunches: 5
Jump Rope: 100 skips
Leg Lifts: 5
Mountain Climbers: 8
Plank: 10 sec
Pushups: 4
Situps: 15
Squats: 50
Tri Dips: 6
Jog: 1 mile

  1. I’d take your day 1 as my day 1 in a 30 day challenge to summer too 🙂 Sometimes I hate planning for workout but your plan is perfect. Probably I will switch the jogging to cycling 🙂
